Jacksonville FL couples therapy - serene ocean view representing relationship healing

Is Your Relationship Worth Fighting For?

Hi! I'm Megan. Over the past twenty years, I have helped hundreds of couples navigate their relationship challenges through supportive, evidence-based therapy. Relationships are a core component of good mental health, so when the connection with our partner is strained, it can impact every other area of our life. If you are feeling lost, overwhelmed, and depleted, let's talk.

As a therapist, I help couples navigate family conflict, communication issues, infidelity, domestic violence, and substance abuse. I am EMDR-trained and believe addressing trauma within couples is essential to successful, long-term resolution of perpetual issues. No topic is off-limits in our discussions. I'd be honored to walk the journey to recovery alongside you.

Book a free 15 minute consultation where we will answer any questions and schedule your first session. To book this consultation, click the button below or text me at (904) 861-6366.

2

Once your first session is scheduled, you and your partner will be emailed an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will give clarity on the strengths and challenges in your relationship to help us prioritize your treatment needs.

3

During our first session, I will meet with you as a couple and get a background on your relationship and what brings you to therapy. Next, I will meet with you each individually to make sure I have a thorough understanding of each of your perspectives before we begin our interventions.

Common Questions

What makes your approach different from other couples therapy?

I use proven methods like the Gottman Method combined with EMDR and trauma-informed care. Instead of generic advice, I create a personalized treatment plan based on your unique relationship dynamics and individual histories.

Can we do sessions online, or do we need to come to your office?

Both options are available! I see couples in-person at my comfortable Jacksonville office (2950 Halcyon Ln STE 202) and also offer secure telehealth sessions for couples throughout Florida. Many couples actually prefer online sessions for the convenience and comfort of being in their own space.

How soon can we start therapy?

Most couples can begin within a week. I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can discuss your specific situation and make sure this feels like the right fit before you commit to anything.

Do you work with couples who are dealing with infidelity or trust issues?

Absolutely. Rebuilding trust after infidelity requires specialized skills and patience. I help couples navigate the complex emotions, rebuild communication, and create a path forward—whether that's healing the relationship or parting ways with respect.

What if my partner is reluctant to come to therapy?

This is very common. I can start by meeting with you individually to help you understand how to approach your partner, or we can begin with a consultation where they can ask questions without feeling pressured. Often, one partner coming first can help the other feel more comfortable.

How long does couples therapy typically take?

Every couple is different, but most see meaningful progress within 8-12 sessions. Some couples benefit from longer-term support, while others resolve their main issues more quickly. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our approach as needed.
